EXPERIENCE THE NEW TRANSIT CUSTOM AT PREMIER FORD NOW

Available With £2,000 Scrappage Saving When You Trade In An Eligible Vehicle*

Transit Custom has always been renowned for its toughness, functionality and reliability. Now, it delivers an even wider range of innovative features and smart technologies, plus greater efficiency and high levels of design and craftsmanship. The result: you can look forward to getting behind the wheel of a van that’s more refined and sophisticated than ever before.

Available in Short and Long Wheel Base, as well as a high roof option, the Transit Custom is available to view now at our Newport, Isle of Wight showroom.

Cutting-Edge Technologies For Your Ease And Comfort

Transit Custom is available with an impressive list of smart, driver assist features including a Blind Spot Information System that sees the vehicles you might miss. Intelligent Speed Assist uses the Traffic Sign Recognition camera to first detect the current speed limit (when activated) then helps to keep you inside that limit. Cross Traffic Alert warns you if it detects oncoming traffic when you’re reversing out of a space. And Adaptive Cruise Control is designed to help you maintain a pre-set distance from the vehicle in front, automatically.

Use Less Fuel With Auto Start-Stop

When you stop at traffic lights or your vehicle is idling in a queue, this technology can automatically switch off the engine (while still supplying power to essentials like the headlights, air-conditioning, radio and the Ford SYNC system). When you're ready to move, just depress the clutch and select first gear as usual, or press the accelerator on an automatic, and the system restarts. Auto Start-Stop is particularly effective in town and city streets, where it can cut fuel consumption by up to 10% (urban cycle).

Useful Load-Through Storage

The Transit Custom has a distinctive feature designed to extend its load space. A full height, full width bulkhead divides the load area from the passenger cabin and this bulkhead has a flip-up panel at floor level. This means you can load items up to 3m long through the rear doors and into an extended storage area under the van’s dual passenger seats, even in the short wheelbase version. This smart feature enables you to keep valuable materials inside your vehicle, rather than on display on the roof.

More Power, Fewer Emissions

With our advanced Ford EcoBlue 2.0 litre engines, the Transit Custom is designed to meet the tough Euro Stage 6 emissions standards, reducing emissions and cutting your running costs. These engines may be smaller than the 2.2 litre Duratorq engines, but remarkably they deliver more power.

SelectShift Automatic Transmission

Both the 130 PS and 170 PS engines are available with the six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. This is the standard powertrain of choice on a wide range of body styles and GVMs, and it’s designed to provide a smooth, relaxing driving experience, especially in busy stop-start traffic. The transmission allows you to change gear manually if you prefer, using the gear shifter buttons on the facia-mounted gear lever. It also provides the ability to lock out gears in more challenging driving conditions. For example, on slippery surfaces or steep gradients.

Ford Transit Custom Wide Open Rear Doors
The Transit Custom can effortlessly carry standard 8’ x 4’ boards flat on the floor or three euro pallets. Thanks to its convenient and innovative load-through storage area, it can also accommodate items up to 3.4m long (L2), without preventing you from using the front passenger seats. Overall, the van provides up to six cubic metres of loadspace with a bulkhead fitted, and that’s just the short wheelbase (L1) version: the long wheelbase (L2) offers up to 6.8 cubic metres. It has the widest side load door-opening of any vehicle of its type. And the sliding doors have a mechanism which holds them securely open for loading. Ford Transit Custom Rear Parking Sensors
Cross Traffic Alert is part of the Blind Spot Information System. When you’re reversing out of a space and have limited visibility of the traffic situation, Cross Traffic Alert can detect oncoming vehicles and sound a warning. The technology illuminates a light in the wing mirror too (left or right depending on the direction of oncoming traffic), as well as displaying a warning on the multi-functional display. Ford Transit Custom Automatic Headlight
Automatic headlights use a sensor that detects failing light at dusk, or when there’s a sudden change in light conditions. This triggers the automatic headlights to turn themselves on, aiding the driver in darker conditions. In addition, Auto High Beam temporarily dips your headlights when it detects oncoming traffic or a vehicle ahead, stopping you dazzling other drivers. It then automatically reverts back to high beam, giving you maximum visibility. Headlights That React Automatically
